HELTON WINS BASS FISHING LEAGUE VOLUNTEER DIVISION ON DOUGLAS LAKE






WHAT:              Wesley Helton of Calhoun, Tenn., caught a 5-bass limit weighing 16 pounds, 4 ounces Saturday, March 27, 2010 to win $5,766 in the FLW BFL Volunteer Division tournament on Douglas Lake. Helton was using a jig near the forty bridge to catch his limit.

WHAT:              Rich Wilson of Knoxville, Tenn., caught a 5-bass limit weighing 11 pounds, 15 ounces Saturday, March 27, 2010 to win $1,883 in the FLW BFL Volunteer Co-angler Division on Douglas Lake. Wilson was in the Flat Creek using a zero worm jig to bag his limit.

NOTES:            The next BFL Volunteer Division tournament is scheduled for May 1, at South Holston Reservoir in Bristol, Tenn. After the fifth Volunteer Division tournament is complete, the top 40 boaters and co-anglers based on point standings will qualify for the Regional Championship at Ft. Loudoun/Tellico Lakes in Lenoir City, Tenn.,on Oct. 2-3, for a chance to win a 198VX Ranger boat with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Yamaha outboard and a Chevy pick-up, co-anglers will fish for a new Ranger 198VX.
