NOTES: Each angler participating in the Forrest Wood Cup will be available for interviews, photos and more during the available time frame. Each angler will be in competition dress. This event is not open to the general public.

NOTES: Gov. Perdue will address the audience and discuss the importance of the Forrest Wood Cup and the Go Fish Georgia initiative. This event is not open to the general public. Media wishing to attend should RSVP using contact information provided.
WHAT: Daily Takeoffs

WHEN: Thursday, Aug. 5 – Sunday, Aug. 8, 2010, from 6:30 – 7 a.m.
WHere: Laurel Park, 3100 Old Cleveland Hwy., Gainesville, Ga.,
NOTES: Fans and media can see, meet and interview the anglers as they prepare for the day’s competition. Takeoff festivities include a morning show to be broadcast on FLWLive.com, free coffee, juice and donuts. Media members can also schedule a media boat through the contacts provided to go on Lake Lanier and obtain photos and video of competitors. This event is free and open to the public.
WHAT: Championship Weigh-ins
WHO: Forrest Wood Cup anglers
WHEN: Thursday, Aug. 5 – Sunday, Aug. 8, 2010, at 5 p.m.
WHere: The Arena at Gwinnett Center, 6400 Sugarloaf Parkway, Duluth, Ga.
NOTES: Each angler participating in the Forrest Wood Cup will bring their daily catch to the stage for fans to see. Each angler will be available after they weigh-in for media interviews. This event is free and open to the public.
WHAT: FLW Outdoors Expo
WHEN: Friday, Aug. 6, 2010, from noon – 5 p.m.
Saturday, Aug. 7 - Sunday, Aug. 8, 2010, from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
WHere: Gwinnett Convention Center, 6400 Sugarloaf Parkway, Duluth, Ga.
NOTES: Fans can enjoy one of the best outdoor shows that will be held in conjunction with the Forrest Wood Cup at the Gwinnett Convention Center. The FLW Outdoors Expo includes Ranger boat simulators, angler seminars, the opportunity to meet professional anglers, see and test the latest outdoor equipment, enjoy interactive games, activities and giveaways provided by sponsors, and learn more about the sport of fishing and other outdoor activities. The first 500 children 14 & under on Saturday will receive a free fishing line packet and the first 1500 kids 14 & under on Sunday will receive a free rod and reel combo. Fans can register to win a Ranger boat that will be given away after the champion is crowned. Fans can register to win at ForrestWoodCup.com and must be present to win.

WHEN: Saturday, Aug. 7, 2010, 4 p.m.
WHere: Gwinnett Convention Center, 6400 Sugarloaf Parkway, Duluth, Ga.
NOTES: Cotter was raised in Opelika, Ala., and in 2004 won USA Network’s reality show “Nashville Star.” Cotter is headed to the studio in early spring and is developing his autobiography titled “Nashville Scarred.”
WHAT: Justin Moore Concert
WHEN: Sunday, Aug. 8, 2010, 4 p.m.
WHere: Gwinnett Convention Center, 6400 Sugarloaf Parkway, Duluth, Ga.
NOTES: Moore is best known for his hit “Small Town USA,” an ode to the spirit and simplicity of small-town life. The fast-rising song has become a top 15 hit and established Moore as one of 2009’s breakout country artists, garnering attention from People, The Washington Post and Billboard. The singer-songwriter is currently touring with Brad Paisley on the H2O World Tour and has landed coveted spots on tours with Trace Adkins, Hank Williams Jr. and Lynyrd Skynyrd and opened for Brooks & Dunn, Kenny Chesney and ZZ Top.
